The old processing workshop of the storage department of the steel pipe company was built in the nineties. After more than twenty years of exposure to the elements, the warehouse suffered from dark light, unstable peripheral walls and other similar problems.

With the improvement of production technology and production capacity, the original workshop has gradually failed to meet the needs of the factory production. The chairman, Li Hongfang, advocated the demolition of the old workshop and the rebuilding of a new steel workshop in its original location. The so-called steel structure workshop is a structural form mainly made of steel, which has the advantages of low cost, high strength, good overall rigidity, light self-weight and fast construction.

Geotechnical exploration and plant drawings were started in August 2014, civil construction and phase one steel structure were carried out in September, the old warehouse was demolished at the end of November, and civil construction and phase two steel structure were built in December. During the construction process, the chairman of the board visited the site many times in his busy schedule to care about the progress of the project, and the minister of the storage department followed up for a long time to ensure the overall quality and safety of the steel structure plant. After nearly five months of construction, the new workshop was completed at the end of January this year, and the overall appearance of the renovated workshop was completely new. The new workshop has applied the design of long windows on the upper perimeter, which in normal use provides more effective light compared to the old workshop and reduces the burden of lighting on rainy days, thus relatively reducing expenses. The long louvres on the lower side of the building allow for better heat dissipation in hot temperatures, thus reducing the temperature in the workshop and reducing the possibility of heat stroke for workers.

The overall appearance of the new factory is more modern and industrial than the old one, and the materials used are more environmentally friendly and robust.
