From October 8 to 11, Yangtze River Petroleum Pipe Company successfully passed the American Petroleum Institute's API Q1 review and obtained the production qualification of API 5L PSL-2 high steel grade pipeline, which is a direct jump from no API 5L qualification to PSL-2 high steel grade pipeline qualification, marking a new progress in the company's manufacturing level and quality management system construction.

The company leaders attached great importance to this audit, and all departments made elaborate preparations and thorough arrangements, sorting out all the documents and information item by item and implementing them in the relevant departments. At the same time, the problems found were followed up and dealt with in a timely manner, and the company worked with all departments to develop a plan for the audit, and went to the production site to implement physical corrections to prevent unintended non-conformities from occurring.

During the on-site audit, the experts of the audit team confirmed whether the arrangement of our production line equipment, production status, quality control status, especially the production and control status of API 5L pipeline products were in line with the declared conditions, and understood the basic situation of the company and the quality management procedures of the enterprise from the management representatives. Afterwards, the expert group conducted a focused audit, from the planning of product realization (technical documents), the process of product realization (process control from pipe rolling to heat treatment and wire turning, process confirmation, in-line inspection, marking, traceability and labeling, product protection and preservation), monitoring and measurement process, operation of equipment and training of personnel to the verification of continuous improvement of the quality system, etc., to conduct item-by-item inspection, using A four-day series of audits were conducted using information, sample taking, on-site evidence collection and personnel interviews.

At the final meeting held in the afternoon of October 11, Li Dan, a senior audit expert of the American Petroleum Institute, informed the situation of this audit and concluded that Yangtze River Petroleum Pipe Company had the production capacity of API 5L PSL-2 high steel grade pipeline and announced that our company had passed the API Q1 review and the API 5L extension audit.
